Funeral services Melba Joyce Tillman, age 75, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 10 o’clock in the morning Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Ernest Higginbotham officiating. She will be laid to rest at West Shady Grove Cemetery in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Tillman passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015 in Tyler.
She was born May 7, 1940 in Cherokee County, Texas to Archie and Maxie Buckley.
Joyce was a member of Pierce’s Chapel Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her father, Archie Brackston Buckley.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Billy Ray Tillman of Jacksonville; mother, Maxie Buckley of Jacksonville; son, Billy Scott Tillman of Palestine; daughter, Tina McKnight and husband Kenneth of Jacksonville; brothers, Larry Buckley and wife Karen of Whitehouse, Wayne Buckley and wife Marilyn of Jacksonville; sister, Jo Ann Bonner of Jacksonville; one grandson, Brackston, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Gaylon Beamer, Billy Beamer, Jerry Seeton, Lee Slider, Jason Seeton, Terry Buckley, Sam Buckley, and Neil Jowell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Bonner and Brackston McKnight.
Visitation will begin on Friday, December 18, 2015 and friends are cordially invited to visit with the family from 6-8 o’clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
