LUBBOCK - Grace Laura Stockton, 95, died Tuesday, August 28, 2006, in a Lubbock nursing center. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2006, in First United Methodist Church in Tuscola with Reverend Bill Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Tuscola Cemetery, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home in Tuscola. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Grace was born March 28, 1911, to Bentley and Ollie Jo Claxton Tate. She married Hugh Harris Stockton May 8, 1932, in Abilene. The couple farmed for many years in the Tuscola area. She lived in Midland from 1977 to 2003, when she moved to Lubbock.
