He died in the VA hospital at Dallas Saturday, May 6, 1972, after an extended illness. Funeral services were held at the Pleasant Grove CME church at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, with the Rev. A. J. Lawson, Jr., officiating. Burial was in the New Harmony Cemetery with Fannin County Funeral Home directing. Survivors include his wife of the home, three sons, Howard J. Fuller, Jr., of Ladonia and Hoyt and Ralph Fuller, both of Dallas; four daughters, Mrs. May Handy and Mrs. Winnie Hayes, both of Dallas, Mrs. Paulette Garrett of New York and Mrs. Neil Washington of Sulphur Springs; two brothers, Aaron Fuller of California and Charles Fuller of Bonham; 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
