James R. Collins

James R. Collins, 77, a Kewaunee resident, formerly of Denmark, died early Sunday morning, Dec. 28, 1997, at the Kewaunee Health Care Center. The son of the late Jack and Odilia Collins was born on May 9, 1920. James had been self employed as a truck driver and a farmer.

Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Kelly and Sharon Collins, Denmark; Bill and Lu Ann Collins, Maribel; Corry Collins, Green Bay; Scott and Rita Collins, Denmark; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Orville and Jane Collins, Denmark; along with nieces, nephews, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, La Verne; and a son, Thomas.

Friends may call at the Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 Hwy R, Denmark, from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service. Funeral service 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Patrick Green officiating. Burial in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
