Elaine D. Paape, 90, Ashwaubenon, died Thursday, November 6, 2008.

She was born August 26, 1918, to the late George and Elizabeth (Bufka) Namz in Cooperstown. On August 27, 1947, she married Harold Paape at Zion United Methodist Church in Denmark; he preceded her in death November 20, 2004. Elaine was a graduate of Denmark High School in 1936. She worked with her husband in the real estate business for more than 50 years. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Green Bay. Elaine enjoyed time spent with her family and friends.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and John Costabile, Racine; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Dianne Paape, Corvallis, Oregon; five grandchildren, Elizabeth (Ethan) Hoff, Racine; Joseph (Jacqueline) Costabile, Grays Lake, Illinois; Katherine (Skyler) Bradbury, Alexandria, Virginia; Jane (Aaron) Moneypenny, Racine; and Sasha Paape, Corvallis, Oregon; six great-grandchildren, Alex and Natalie Hoff, Mina, Calvin and Mayzie Costabile, and Kailey Moneypenny; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman and Marvin Namz.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, at Lyndahl Funeral Home. Visitation will continue after 11:30 am. Monday at St. James Lutheran Church, 901 Shawano Avenue, where the funeral service will take place at 12:30 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Christman officiating. Burial will be in the East Cooperstown Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com.
