Mr. James R. Adams, 82, Rochester, passed away at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, at Mason Health Care of Warsaw.

On Sept. 6, 1933, James was born to Roy and Esther Jones Adams in Atwood. James and Kathryn R. Willard were married on March 14, 1981 in Packerton.

James is lovingly remembered by his wife: Kathy; two daughters: Peggy Stover and Kerry, Pierceton; Mary (Dan) STrahan, Marion; daughter-in-law: Nancy Rans, Akron; three sons: Larry Joe (Shirley) Adams, Coleman, Texas; Kenny (Robin) Adams, Warsaw; James R. (Melanie) Rans Jr., Grove City, Ohio; 19 grandchildren: Angela Carr; Kimberly (Steve) Dunnuck; Felicia (Scott) Daeger; Nikki (Scott) Cabell; Justin (Shannon) Stover; Jennifer (Alex) Calhoun; Corey Helms; Stacey Helms; Bailey White; Jonathan White; Travis Rans; Brian (Miranda) Adams; Jennie Adams; David (Jessica) Adams; Patricia (Jason) Madsen; Amelia ‘Amy’ Adams; Lauren “Pete” Adams; Jacob Rans; Jackson Rans; 27 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Betty (Bob) Busch, Dewart Lake; Mary Weese, Rochester; a brother: Bill (Ardith) Adams, Rochester; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding James in death are his parents; two sons: Daniel Rans; Henry Adams; daughter: Diane Adams; and a sister: Bea Gordon.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at Riverview Community Church, Argos. The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, also at the church. Rev. Rod Ruberg will officiate services, and interment will be at Silver Creek Cemetery.

Good Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
