Gary R. Pfeifer, 22, of 316 Lincoln Ave., Cleveland, died Oct. 21, when his car plunged off the Lakeshore Road into Lake Michigan.
Funeral services will be at St. Wendel Catholic Church, Cleveland, pending word from a brother in the U.S. Navy. The Rev. R. T. Peeters will officiate and burial will be in St. George Cemetery, Cleveland.
Mr. Pfeifer was born Sept. 16, 1951, at Cleveland, son of George and Marie Willmas Pfeifer. He attended St. Wendel Elementary School, Cleveland, and was graduated from North High School, Sheboygan, June 8, 1971. In October of 1971, he entered the U.S. Army, serving overseas in Germany. He received his honorable discharge in April of 1973. He was presently employed at Kohler Co. in the engineering and electrical division. He was a member of St. Wendel Catholic Church and the Catholic Knights.
Survivors include his parents, four brothers, James, of Manitowoc, Ralph, of Two Rivers, David, with the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Enterprise, and Michael, at home; four sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Dorothy) Gries and Mrs. Harlan (Judy) Gries, of Rt. 1, Newton; Mrs. Michael (Ruth Ann) Weinreis, of Manitowoc and Miss Mary, at home; and 14 nieces and nephews. A niece, Michelle Pfeifer, preceded him in death.
Final funeral arrangements will be announced Wednesday by Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel, Cleveland.
