Note a full printout of this cemetery can be found at: http://www.netease.net/wayne/bathsprings.htm#2%20Clifton%20City%20CemeteryJoseph m. Jane Elmyra Cypert 26 Jul 1854 Indian Creek, Wayne Co., TN.

alternate death date: Jan 11 1894.

Records indicate that Joseph died December 8, 1889, at Saltillo, in Hardin County, Tennessee, from a respiratory infection and pneumonia. He was buried in the cemetery at Clifton, Tennessee. His widow drew his Civil War pension on May 2 1894 while living at Saltilo in Hardin Co; this is down and across the river from Clifton. I cannot explain why the Clifton Cemetery index shows a different date unless the headstone was date incorrectly and set years later. - dennis
