Mrs. Lois Virginia Cooper Arrington, age 86, of Meansville, passed away December 18, 2015 at her daughter’s home.

She was born in Washington County, GA, daughter of the late Loren Cooper and Effie Lou Stavely Cooper. She was a homemaker and a babysitter of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a long-time member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Zebulon and enjoyed cooking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Arrington, sister, Florence Schneider, brothers, Louie Cooper and Dave Wilcher, stepmother, Nina Cooper.

She is survived by her children and their spouses: Brenda and Steve Wiley of Meansville,Ernie and Kathy Arrington of Griffin, Carolyn Royals of Thomaston, Sheryl and Steve Clark of Thomaston, Connie and Freddie Johnston of Barnesville, Elaine and Stanley Albritton of Meansville; grandchildren and their spouses: Joe and Tammy Wiley, Shane and Kim Wiley, Gina and Kojack Pollard, Jan and Tim Long, Brian Clark and Matthew Clark, Micah Arrington, Cynthia and Kenny Potts, and Tammy and Dennis Smith; great-grandchildren: Taylor Whatley, Hannah Wiley, Nicholas Wiley, Austin Wiley, Joey Nobles, Kayla Nobles, Cameron Pollard, Dylan Pollard, Madison Clark; one great-great-granddaughter to be born in April; sister and brother-in-law: Maggie and Norman Duffey of Griffin; brother and sister-in-law: Nathan and Betty Cooper of Griffin; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Shepherd Care Hospice for their kindness and care to Mrs. Arrington.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, December 19, from 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 20, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Dr. Bud Gleaton and Mr. Terrell Moody officiating. Burial will follow in Moody Memorial Gardens.
