George Lewis (1741-1819) served as lieutenant in Capt. Micah Hamilton's company, which marched on the Lexington Alarm, and, 1776-77, was major under Col. Nathaniel Freeman, 1st Barnstable County, Massachusetts regiment of militia. He was born in Barnstable, Mass.; died in Gorham, ME.
