Dushek Services Are Held Tuesday

MELNIK (PG) – Funeral services were held Tuesday for Milo Dushek, Melnik, who died Saturday after a long illness.

The Rev. Howard Bowman, Manitowoc, conducted the services at the Melnik Presbyterian Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Dushek was born on Bohemia and came to the United States with his parents as a young boy. The family settled on a farm near Melnik. He was a member of the ZCBJ Lodge No. 2 for 57 years. He served on the draft board during World War I, was a member of the county jury board, justice of the peace for the Town of Gilson and a member of the school board. For several years he served as an officer of the Kossuth Fire Insurance Co.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, three daughters and several grandchildren.
