DEATH SUNDAY AT HER HOME
Mrs. Catherine Gruber Will Be Buried Tuesday
Mrs. Catherine Gruber, 73, died Sunday at 3 a.m. at the home, 719 Pine Street, after an illness of 18 weeks.
The remains may be viewed at the Frazier mortuary where funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. Services will be held at the Melnik Presbyterian church at 2 o'clock and burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. F. Junek will officiate.
Mrs Gruber, whose maiden name was Hershman, was born in the town of Kossuth, March 28, 1860. She married Joseph Gruber in 1878 and spent the greater part of her life on a farm in the town of Gibson. She moved to Manitowoc in 1928.
Survivors are two sons, Joseph J and William S. Gruber, both of Manitowoc; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Orth, Mrs. Emily Gill and Mrs. Anna Dolezal, all of Manitowoc; one half-brother, Barney Steffeck, 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Her husband died Sept, 19, 1923.
