DEATH CALLS JOSEPH GRUBER, MELNIK PIONEER
Joseph Gruber, Sr., died at the family home at Melnik yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock after a brief illness. The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock with services at the Melnik Presbyterian church. Mr Gruber was born in Bohemia sixty-nine years ago and came to America with his parents when a boy. The family settled in Manitowoc county and he has made his home at Melnik practically all of his life. He is survived by his widow; two sons, Joseph J. of Larrabee and William S. of Melnik and three daughters, Mrs. Matthew Orth and Mrs. William Gill of this city and Mrs. J. Dolezal of Milwaukee.
