Joseph J. Maresh, 76, of 6939 Tannery Rd., Two Rivers, died Friday evening, oct. 21, at the Two Rivers Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Grace Congregational Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Daniel Wright will officiate and burial will be in the Melnik Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Mr. Maresh was born Nov. 23, 1906, in the Town of Kossuth, son of the late Henry and Emma Stastny Maresh. He married Helen Soukup on Nov. 2, 1940, at the Melnik Presbyterian Church. Mr. Maresh was a bookkeeper at the Two Rivers Linoleum and Carpet Shop, retiring 12 years ago. He was a member of Grace Congregational Church, the West Shore Sportsman Club and served as camp director for 4-H at Camp Tapawingo.

Survivors include his wife, Helen; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Susan Maresh of Waukesha, Wis.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Thomas Schwake of Two Rivers and Nancy and William Becker of Waukegan, Ill.; a brother, Walter Maresh of Whitelaw and six grandchildren, Mitchell, Jeffrey, Susan, John, Stephen and Stacey. He was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, after 5 p.m. Sunday and from 12:30 p.m. to the time of services Monday at the church.
