Fred Soukup, 51, of Melnik, died last night at the farm home, following a lingering illness.
He was born in Gibson in 1888 and spent his entire life on the homestead farm. In 1912 he married Miss Emma Rezek.
Survivors are the widow; two daughters, Evelyn, at home, Mrs. William Sladkey of Melnik, aged mother, Mrs. Joseph Soukup of Melnik; sister, Mrs. Emil Wilda of Melnik and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. from the Soukup home and at 1:30 from the Melnik Presbyterian church, the Rev. Frank Junek officiating.
The body will be taken to the home Saturday afternoon.
