Manitowoc Herald News, Friday, April 9, 1920 p.5

2nd article: Miss Soupkup was born and reared in this vicinity and has been well known by a large circle of friends for her good qualities. The deceased is survived by her mother and father, three sisters, Viola, Martha and Mildred and two brothers, Edwin and William, all on the home farm. Funeral services were held from the late home and also from the Melnik Presbyterian Church on Monday at 10 a.m. and burial took place in the cemetery adjoining. The large attendance at the funeral and the many beautiful floral offerings were evidenced of the high esteem in which the deceased was held by all who knew her. Being only 17 years old, just the age when one enjoys life the best, her death surely was a sad one and her parents, sisters and brothers have the deepest sympathy of the community in their great loss.
