Helen E. Abright, 92 of Hannibal, MO passed away at 7:15 PM Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra, MO.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal, MO. Rev. Mark Burkey will officiate.

There will be no visitation. The family is being served by the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Helen was born on March 12, 1923 in Clarence, MO to Clyde and Gertrude Dines Smith.

She was married to Chas "Chub" Rupp. He preceded her in death in 1944. Helen later married Andrew J. Riefesel. He preceded her in death in 1965. She then married George Abright Sr. in 1967 and he preceded her in death in 2001.

Also preceding Helen in death are her parents, 2 brothers, Cecil and Floyd Smith and 1 sister, Jewel Owsley.

Survivors include: 3 children, Andrea Dowell, Mike Riefesel (Lisa) and Joe Riefesel (Diane); 6 grandchildren, Eric Resa, Brandi Resa, Cole Riefesel, Case Riefesel, Nicole Staab and A.J. Riefesel; also surviving are 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Helen was a homemaker and also had previously worked as a bookkeeper for Dowell and Fuqua Feed Store.

In her free time Helen loved to play Bingo and cards, "Rummy" was a favorite card game. In addition to cards, Helen loved to visit the Casino and play games. She visited casinos in Las Vegas, Tunica, Kansas City and more and always had a blast.

Simple pleasures were also special to Helen. She loved to enjoy coffee with friends or sit near her bay window and watch the birds, squirrels and the rest of nature's beauty outside.

Most of all Helen loved the time she shared with her family and friends. Helen attended the Mt. Zion Christian Church in Rural Hannibal.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shiloh Christian Children's Ranch in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
