Charles D. Street, 68, of 1833 N. 20th St., died Friday, July 18, 1997, at his residence.

Mr. Street was born Feb. 7, 1929 in Sheboygan to the late Charles H. and Margaret M. Schnorr Street. He attended Jefferson Grade School and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1947.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 and served overseas in Korea.

On Jan. 25, 1952, he married Miss Margaret Denecke of Sheboygan at First United Lutheran Church.
On July 1, 1954, he founded the Rural Electrical Service and in 1971, he founded the C. & M. Service Corp. and served as its president, until illness forced his retirement in 1995.

He was a member of the East Troy Trolley Museum at East Troy.

Survivors are his wife, Margaret; two sons, William L. (Debbie) Street, Kiel and Thomas C. Street, Sheboygan; further survived by three grandchildren, William E. and Crystal M. Street and Michael C. Street; a brother, Richard G. Street, Sheboygan; two sisters, Mary (Wayne) Schwarz and Carole Engels, all of Sheboygan, seven nieces and three nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Ballhorn Funeral Chapel, Sam Davis, a minister of Sheboygan Church of Christ, will officiate. His remains will be cremated. Friends may call at the funeral Chapel from 10 a.m., Tuesday, until the time of services.

A memorial fund has been established in his name.
