Born in Vermont , lived in Schroon Lake NY, Married Caroline Boyd in Shelburne Mass in 1828. Moved from Schroon Lake to Leroy in 1848.When he died in 1891 , he was 97 years old and the oldest inhabitant in Leroy at the time. Caroline died in 1865 in a terrible carriage accident in which she was thrown from the carriage and broke her neck in the fall. They had 7 children with 1 dying young
