Elmer R. Holdorf

Elmer R. Holdorf, 80, 2209 Hilltop Dr., Green Bay, died Monday, May 8, 1989 at a local hospital. He was born Jan. 12, 1909 in Manitowoc to the late Herman and Lena (Erdmann) Holdorf. On Oct. 3, 1929 he married Mabel R. VandeHey in Manitowoc.

Mr. Holdorf was a retired postal clerk from the Manitowoc Post Office.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Robert Singleton, Groveland, Calif.; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerome and Emily Holdorf, Two Rivers; one sister and brother-in-law, Erna and Merlin Liebsziet, Appleton; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Herman and Jean Holdorf, Appleton; Alvin Holdorf, Edwin and Joyce Holdorf, and Earl and Jean Holdorf, all of Manitowoc; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two granddaughters and two sisters.

Friends may call at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Parish memorial service 6:45 p.m. Funeral 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers, with the Rev. Paul Schumacher officiating. Burial at Kossuth National Cemetery, Town of Kossuth, Manitowoc Co.
