My sister, Holly Mathews Turner, would have hated having an obituary written about her… so after careful consideration, I'm refusing to write one. That being said, there are a few things I want to recognize that she (hopefully) wouldn't mind me mentioning!

From birth, Holly lived her life at the top of her lungs… and if you didn't like it, well, that was certainly not her problem! The only thing she loved more than her animals was her family. At the head of that list was her husband Wes. He has been the “father” of her dogs/cats/chickens, her SCUBA diving buddy, and overall... the captain of their bicycle built for two. She would tell everybody that Wes was, without question, the most important part of her life and that he had made her incredibly happy. He helped Holly find her passion in life and I will forever be grateful to him.

Holly was drawn to help people (and animals) that couldn't help themselves. From working to help bring a smile to an elderly, many times forgotten, nursing home patient… to adopting & rehabilitating injured animals… her eagerness to sacrifice time and money was a true reflection of her character.

Anybody that knew her also saw that Holly had a wild streak that could be hilarious, dark, borderline unlawful, sweet, then back to hilarious all within a single conversation. She was amazingly spontaneous and unpredictable... which made her an absolute blast to spend time with.

Holly hated the sadness and traditions that generally come with a funeral, so a very small & informal celebration of her awesomeness will be held on Sunday 12/27 at the Melvin L Newman Wetland Center at 2755 Freeman Rd, Hampton GA 30228. This is an outdoor nature center where she liked to go turtle watching with Wes. Close friends and family can drop by any time between 2:00 and 5:00PM.

Holly would have loved to use this opportunity to help raise money to improve the lives of animals in need... so instead of flowers, please consider making an online donation to the Atlanta Humane Society at http://atlantahumane.org/ in her memory.

Holly has been an amazing sister, a loving daughter, a committed wife, a partner in crime, a caretaker, a comedian, a shoulder to cry on, and many other things to many different people. We might never know the full impact that she's had on all the people/animals that she's helped, but I can assure you that she will be terribly missed by many.

Thank you all for sending the positive thoughts, vibes, prayers, etc., toward Holly and our family over the past few days. Hug your loved ones tight and, from our family to yours, we hope you have a Merry Christmas.

**Her husband posted this on her Facebook to tell us all what happened. They shared a rare and perfect love- they were an ideal fit in life **

" Holly Mathews Turner passed away early Tuesday morning in her sleep. She could not have been more loved by the people in her life. She "loudly" loved what she loved and "loudly" hated what she hated. She left to soon. She would cross any line and dare you to do something about it. She would smile and it would stop time. She would dance and laugh and sing every day, like it was her last day.

"Holly Holly give me your answer do,
I go crazy all for the love of you,
It won't be a stylish marriage,
I can't afford a carriage,
But you'll look sweet,
Upon the seat,
Of a bicycle built for two."
