Winifred E. Amos, 91, of Mishawaka, died at 7:20 a.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at Hamilton Grove in New Carlisle, Indiana.

Winifred was born December 10, 1914 in Kirklin, Indiana to the late John Henry and Iva Belle Stephenson Amos. She was also preceded in death by three sisters; Helen Amos, Alta Bird, Peggy Amos and three brothers; John, Fred, and Dr. Everett Amos.

Winifred was retired from the Cutter-Hammer Corporation in South Bend, Indiana, where she was employed as a secretary for many years. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Winifred is survived by six nieces; Barbara (Ed) Johnson of Yuma, Arizona, Helen Lee (Tony) Wratney of Piedmont, Indiana, Cheryl (Ben) Burrell of Toano, Virginia, Connie Leino of Des Moines, Iowa, Prudence Widlak of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, and Cathy (Al) Myers. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Libby Amos.

Memorial services for Winifred will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 18th at the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka where friends may call for one hour prior to services. The Rev. Janet Van Lere of the First Presbyterian Church in Mishawaka will officiate.

Burial will be at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery in Kirklin.
