Mary died June 29, 1880, and he married Jemima Letch, aka Mary Snyder, March 18, 1882, at Lykens, Dauphin County, fathering Mary Jane (b. 10/06/82 - married Lewis Elmer Bixler), Elizabeth Miriam "Bessie" (b. 12/10/84 - married Samuel Bertram Lewis), Effie May (b. 05/17/87), Cena Etna (b. 12/18/89), George Thomas (b. 05/26/93), Mamie Jemima (b. 05/24/96), and Edward Kyle (b. 01/30/98). In 1880, he was living in Porter Township, Schuylkill County. He claimed he was born July 31, 1834, and his obituary agrees.
