From Der Nord Westen, 08 Oct. 1908:
When John Kasch, a Town Kossuth farmer, returned to his residence from his fields, he found his wife sitting dead in an armchair. She still had her 2 small children in her lap, both playing without any awareness that their mother had just passed. Doctors were called but there was nothing to be done. The lady had done wash that day and the doctor guessed that she had burst a blood vessel and had died from internal bleeding. The deceased leaves her husband and 5 small children; The funeral was held Sunday afternoon.
