Doris graduated from Lomira High School. In 1941 she was united in marriage to Roman Koenig from Witwen. She was employed by Badger Ordnance, as a laboratory technician and operator, until her retirement. Doris enjoyed her life with her husband and four children on the farm and later owning the Witwen store. She was an active member of Concordia United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, Young at Heart exercise group, Sauk Prairie Hospital Auxiliary as a volunteer and quilting for the needy. Doris enjoyed her family, crafts, traveling, church, crocheting, gardening, euchre and going out to eat.
