Glen M. "Cotton" Robberson went to meet the Lord on Sunday morning, April 30, 2006. He was born on June 4, 1931 in Idabel to John Thomas and Ida Robberson.

Glen retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service and returned to Oklahoma. He loved law enforcement and worked at the McCurtain County Sheriff's office under several Sheriff's, the Idabel Police Department, served as Chief of Police in Valliant, and was a Captain for the Hugo police Department when he retired in July of 1992. Glen then worked security at Weyerhaeuser until his illness. After his children were grown, Glen earned a degree in Criminal Justice from Carl Albert State College. He was a member of the Idabel Masonic Lodge.

Glen enjoyed dominoes and taught most of the grandkids to play. Glen loved his cows and dogs. He loved his family and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Glen always had a cup of coffee and a smile for you.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, J.T., Bill, Roy, and Wilburn Robberson; sisters, Lois Davis, and Mayetta Mayabb.

Glen leaves his wife of 54 years, Joyce Jamison Robberson; sons and daughters-in-law, Glen Dale Robberson of Garvin, Jimmy and Lorraine Robberson of Jemison, Alabama, Phillip and Chris Robberson of Valliant, and Dennis and Karen Robberson of Valliant; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Hank Vandever of Rufe; grandchildren, Kristy Stancil, Tracy Stancil, Eric Vandever, Kasie Robberson, Jeremy and Michelle Robberson, Kerri Robberson, James Robberson, Josh Robberson, Breeanna Robberson, Stormy Robberson, Morgan Robberson, Matthew Robberson, Kali Robberson, and Kellen Robberson; great-grandchildren, Raylee Stancil, and Tre' Robberson.

Services will be Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at the Conley-White Chapel in Idabel with Dick Logan officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
