Velma was raised in Hebron with her older sister Gwen, married her high school sweetheart on June 4, 1945, in Hebron, and moved to Denver in 1957. After having three children of their own, she and Delbert adopted two more children from South Korea. They moved to Yuma, AZ, in 1994, but returned to Lakewood in 1997. Delma had worked many years at Southwest Bank and was also a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed baking, gardening, spending time with family and doing things with Prime Timers through her church. Survivors included: children Mark (Laura) Meinen, Lakewood, Melinda Johnson, Evergreen, Mara (Glenn) Linderman, Carlsbad, CA, Matthew Meinen, Arvada; grandchildren Christa, Marshall, Bailey, Austin, Alexa, Thomas, Stephanie, Brecklyn, Kayla, Jackson and James. Daughter Michelle (Brent) Bonick passed away in 2010. Funeral services held at St. Jude Catholic Church in Lakewood on December 18th.
