John P. "Jack" Davis, age 86, of Manitowoc, died Saturday, December 26, 2015 at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
John was born August 28, 1929 in Manitowoc, son of John and Frances (Weber) Davis. He attended schools in Manitowoc and graduated with the class of 1947 from Lincoln High School, Manitowoc. John served in the United States Air Force as a medic from 1948 until 1950. He was a machinist at Kearney and Trecker in Milwaukee until his retirement in 1983. He was a past member of Amvets Post #99 and the Manitowoc Elks Lodge #687.
John is survived by one sister: Pat Russo, Pleasant Hill, CA; one sister-in-law: Susan Mitchell, Palatine, IL, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Fr. Martin Davis; Richard Davis; one sister and two brothers-in-law: June (Michael) McMeel; Rich Russo.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home. 818 State Street, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Ruth Ann Ross with burial of his cremated remains will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
