John P. Neumann, age 70, of 6332 Gass Lake Rd., Manitowoc, entered his eternal
life on Monday, May 10, 2010, at Holy Family Memorial Hosptial, after being
diagnosed with cancer in 1999.
John was born in Two Rivers on May 17, 1939, son of the late Louis and Viola
(Flegel) Neumann. On April 1, 1967, John married Joan Schmitt, daughter of the
late William and Veronica Schmitt, at St. Wendel Catholic Church in Cleveland,
Wis.
Prior to retiring in 2001, John worked at Red Arrow Products Co. in Manitowoc,
for 30 years. He also worked at Kahlenbergs and Erdman on the Lake Ford Co. in
Two Rivers.
John's hobbies were woodworking, doing demonstrations at the area tractor shows,
was one of the original founders of the Northeim Thresheree Club, serving as
president from 1983-1998, and more recently setting up a woodworking shop at
Pinecrest Historical Village. John was also the co-chairman for the St. Thomas
the Apostle Catholic Church History Committee in Newton. After eight years of
research, "a living history" book of the churches was just published in May
2010.

John was preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Steve Seefeld.
The family of John would like to thank Drs. (private), and the entire staff at
the Cancer Center and fifth floor doctors, nurses and unit techs at Holy Family
Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc for their wonderful care and compassion. Chaplain
John, Father Joel and Father Kahrs, we would like to thank you for your visits
and prayers.
Special thank you to: Brenda "Tuesday with the Neumanns," (private), for their
weekly visits and many phone calls, and our wonderful neighbors, (private), for
all of their help. You are the best! God Bless You Always.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m, Monday, May 17, 2010, at
St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Newton. Officiating will be the Rev. Lee
Kahrs, with burial to follow at St. Casimir Cemetery, Northeim.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic
Church on Sunday, May 16, 2010, from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Monday, May 17, 2010,
from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. A prayer service will be held at
7 p.m. on Sunday.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assiting the family with funeral arrangements.
