Mrs. Schweda, Dead at Newton, One of Early Settlers of Town
Mrs. Joseph Schweda, one of the oldest residents of the county and a pioneer settler of the Town of Newton, mother of Mrs. Martin Kappes of this city is dead at the advanced age of 89 years. Mrs. Schweda, owing to her advanced age has been very feeble for a long time and her death was not unexpected.
Coming to this county in 1853, Mrs. Schweda had resided in Newton ever since and was one of the best known pioneers.
The funeral will be held at Newton today.
