JOHN WEIDENHAMMER, an aged and respected citizen of Richmond Township, a veteran of the late unpleasantness, died of consumption, of diseases, at his residence at Moselem Springs on Friday. Deceased was married thirty-five years ago, to Esther Ramer, when they commenced housekeeping and moved into one of Leibensperger's tenant houses in Richmond Township where they resided ever since. The relatives and friends of the family, and Willow Valley Lodge are invited to attend the funeral without further notice, from his late residence, on Wednesday, April 15, at 9:30 o'clock. Services in St. Paul's Chapel. Interment on Fleetwood Cemetery. Rev. F. K. Huntzinger officiated. The K. & P. of which the deceased was a member, attended in a body.
John served in the Civil War in Company I, 167th Regiment which was recruited from Berks County. He served as a Private and served from November 12, 1862 until August 12, 1863.
