Aaron Dale Mantle, 39, of Columbia passed away Monday, Dec. 28, 2015.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016 at Blue Ridge Christian Church, 2400 Blue Ridge Road in Columbia.
Aaron was born Jan. 11, 1976 in Mexico, Mo. He graduated from Mexico High School and excelled academically as a high school honor student and as a recipient of the Missouri Award for Outstanding Achievement in Citizenship in 1994. He graduated from MU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration minoring in Psychology.
Aaron and Tania met during his 8-year employment with the university, after which Aaron enjoyed volunteering weekly at the Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital.
Aaron’s contributions to society exceeded earthly expectations, despite the ongoing complications of muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy, Werdnig-Hoffman’s disease.
Hardcore Christian values and ethics stemmed from an uncompromising, healthy fear (respect) of our Heavenly Father, whom Aaron served through communion and offering meditations at church.
Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Tania Lehr Mantle; parents, Roger and Frances Mantle; sister and brother-in-law, Alicia and Craig Reichert; grandmother, Shirley Mantle; nephew, Wesley Aaron, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and numerous in-laws.
