Jose Castro Sr., age 94 of Kewaunee died on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on January 21, 1921 Fowlerton, TX to the late Pedro and Petra Castro. He married Juanita Diaz September 16, 1942 and she preceded him in death on March 12, 1990.He served in the U. S. Army from 1942 to 1945 in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. Jose and Juanita moved to Kewaunee in 1965. He worked at several factories in the Two Rivers and Kewaunee area until retiring. Survivors include his eleven children: Jose Castro Jr., Manitowoc; Narcisso (Elma) Castro, St. Nazianz; Armando (Lynn) Castro Sr., Two Rivers; Emilio Castro Sr., Green Bay; Richard (Pamela) Castro, Pulaski; Russell Castro Sr., Long Lake, WI; Alberto (Ruth) Castro, Mukwonago, WI; Rito (Carla) Castro, Green Bay; Marcello Castro; Melinda Maloney, Menasha, WI; Belinda Stadtmueller, Menasha, WI; twenty-nine grandchildren; forty-two great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews. Three brothers; three sisters; one grandson; one nephew and one niece preceded him in death.Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Thursday, December 31 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee until the time of services. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Randall Kohls officiating. Burial with full military rites will be at Riverview Cemetery.
