James F. Kopetsky, age 81, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Monday afternoon, December 28, 2015 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.

Jim was born January 4, 1934 in Two Rivers. He was the son of the late Alvin and Geraldine Gauthier Kopetsky. Jim was a graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers with the class of 1952. He was employed for 45 years with Wisconsin Fuel and Light Company from where he retired. On July 2, 1955, Jim married Jacqueline Konkel at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. In past years, Jim raised and raced pigeons and was active with local clubs in the area. He also enjoyed fishing at his dad's cottage at Riley's Point in Door County.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Jacqueline; three sons and one daughter-in-law: Kirk Kopetsky, Kerry Kopetsky, and Kent and Linda Kopetsky, all of Manitowoc; three grandchildren: Brad, Tyler (Jessica), and Nicholas; one great granddaughter: Kylee; along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Alvin and Geraldine Kopetsky; one son: John Kopetsky; one sister: Ruth Kopetsky.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 2016 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Dave Beaudry with burial of the cremains at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Following the memorial services there will be a luncheon held for relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, located on the south property of the funeral home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.
