On Saturday, Officer Gunson, of the Fifth Precinct, found the body of a man floating in the water near Pier No. 34 North River, foot of Harrison st. The body, which was that of a man apparently about forty-eight years of age, had only been in the water a short time. Deceased had on a black over-coat, business-coat, vest, and pants of mixed goods, and a white shirt, upon which was marked the name "ALBERT W. KNIGHT;" a pair of boots, and a red comforter around his neck. On a handkerchief found in one of the pockets was also the name of "A. W. Knight." Coroner Collin held an inquest on the remains. The deceased is presumed to have been a resident of River Point, R.I.
