He was born in Marion April 12, 1891, the son of the late Louis and Anna Graves Absher. He married Lena Howard in 1921 and she survives along with son David D. Absher of Chamblee GA, daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Walter also of Chamblee and 7 grandchildren. Other survivors include sisters, Mrs. Ruth Dameworth of St. Louis and Mrs. Laura Sanders of Herrin and one half brother, Louis Absher of Herrin. He was preceded in death by sister, Mrs. Floy Hancock and three brothers, Fred, Lee and Sam Absher.
