She graduated from Kingsley High School.
She married the late E. Harry Geiger in Kingsley on Nov. 29, 1946. Together they raised three children.
Louise worked at the State Hospital in Traverse City for over 25 years as an attendant nurse. She was a member of the State Employee Retiree Association.
Louise cherished time with her grandchildren, especially when they visited the farm, where she fed them chocolate chip cookies and homemade cinnamon bread. She took pleasure in tending her garden and spending time in the woods, especially when the fall colors peaked. She loved feeding birds and watching bald eagles feed on the hillside. She also enjoyed traveling to visit family all over the United Sates.
She will be greatly missed by her son, Daniel J. (Gloria) Geiger, of Spokane, Wash.: daughter, Sue (Rick) Darling, of St. Johns: 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren: one great-great-grandson: nieces and nephews: and her dear friends, Mary and Jim Arlt.
Besides her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Harry: daughter, Judy Westbrook: and two brothers, Reu and Neil Lemcool.
A Funeral service will be held Friday< May 16 2014 at 1p.m. with visitation an hour prior, at the Covell Funeral Home in Kingsley. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Kingsley.
Memorial contributions in Louise’s name may be directed to the Salvation Army.
