Randolph D. Baker, 70, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015, at Kindred Hospital Indianapolis South in Greenwood. Born May 6, 1945, in LeMars, Iowa, he was the son of the late Robert Baker and Constance(Baack)Baker. He married
Katherine Lightfeldt on Sept. 27, 1969, and she survives. Surviving are son, Craig Baker and wife, Angela, of Greendood; daughter, Carolynn Spence and husband, Craig, of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Cole, Syndey, Max, Mia and Alex; brothers, Francis Baker, Tom Baker and Tod Baker; and sisters, Sandy Burkhart, Rita Baker, Judy Etheridge, Jamie Duerkson and Roberta Trometer. Mr. Baker was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in Vietnam. He was a self-employed kitchen designer. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville. Funeral services will folow at noon at the funeral home, with Robert Prather officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville, with military rites conducted by local veterans organizations. Memorial contributions may be sent to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
