A retired businessman, Wilfred A. "Fred" Aubry, age 85, of 805 N. Brazeau Avenue, died today at St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay after a short illness. He was born in Oconto, Wisconsin August 17, 1894.
Mr. Aubry farmed in the Town of Lake in Marinette County, Wisconsin until 1924. He then returned to Oconto and worked at the Aubry Bakery and the Holt Hardwood Company. Mr. Aubry owned and operated the Aubry Shell Station from 1936 to 1979.
Surviving are his wife Mary;
two sons: Clinton of Porterfield, Wisconsin and Joseph of Oconto;
a daughter Mrs. Oliver (Agnes) Fuller of North Prairie;
a step-daughter Mrs. John Pecor of Oconto;
two brothers: George of Oconto and Clayton of Racine, Wisconsin;
two sisters: Mrs. Agnes DeRosier and Mrs. Ruth O'Connell, both of Oconto;
26 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Gallagher-Pinkert Funeral Home after 3 pm Sunday. A prayer service will be held at 8 pm. Final rites will be held at 10 am Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church with The Rev. Philip Hoffmann offciating. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery.
