William R. Bruckschen, age 77, of 5023 E. Tuma Lake Rd., town of Gibson, died Friday, November 24, 2000, at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, after a courageous 14 year battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2000, at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, in the town of Gibson, with the Rev. Maurice L. Hoppe officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Bill was born November 18, 1923, in Cleveland, Wis., son of the late Herman and Emma Leiteritz Bruckschen. He married the former LaVerne Riemer January 27, 1945, a St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, in the town of Gibson. He was employed as a carpenter for many years for the Manitowoc Company and retired in 1985. He was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, town of Gibson, where he served several terms on the church council. He worked at the church as the janitor for many years.

He was a former member of the Carpenter's Union. Bill enjoyed singing card playing and wood working. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, LaVerne; four daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Ernie Boettcher, Mishicot, Sandra and Donald Hetue, Manitowoc, Jacqueline and David Loberger, Larrabee, Patricia and Larry Klein, Two Rivers; three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Diane Bruckschen, Mishicot, James and Tina Bruckschen, Newark, Del., Thomas and Julie Bruckschen, Mishicot; 24 grandchildren; four step grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Virginia Bruckschen, Cleveland, Wis.; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Helen Busse, Cleveland, Wis., Esther and Ambrose Wollersheim, Sheboygan, nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Christopher; one great grandson, Matthew and one brother-in-law, Gilbert Busse.

Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Monday at the Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot and after 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the church until the time of services at 11 a.m.

A Memorial Fund has been established in his name.
