Notes From Zander:

At noon on Sunday, Dec. 29, Mr. Aug. Janke, our blacksmith passed to the great beyond. He worked all day Friday and Saturday afternoon he was taken sick and died the following Sunday at noon. He died of Bright's disease.


He is survived by his wife and three children, two boys and one girl, the oldest 16 years. He also leaves two sisters and one brother and his mother.


He was 46 years of age.


He was buried at the local Lutheran cemetery on Jan. 1st at 2 p.m.


May his soul rest in peace.

Order to hear Petition for Administration.

State of Wisconsin,-Manitowoc County Court-In Probate.

In the matter of the estate of August Janke, deceased, intestate. On reading and filing the petition of Ida Janke of the Town of Gibson, in said county, representing among other things that August Janke, an inhabitant of said county, on the 29, day of December A.D. 1912, at Gibson died intestate, leaving estate to be administered, and that the said petitioner is the mother of said deceased, and praying that administration of said estate be to John Kohls granted. It is ordered, that said petition be heard at a special term of said County Court to be held on Tuesday, the 28th day of January, A.D. 1913, at 10 o'clock A.M. at the office of the County Judge in the city of Manitowoc, in said county. Ordered further, that notice of the time and place so appointed, be given to all persons interested, by publicatin hereof for three weeks successively, prior to said day of hearing in the Wahrheit, a weekly newspaper published at Manitowoc in said County. Dated at Manitowoc, the 3rd day of January, A.D. 1913.
