Randall L. Van Seggern

Randall L. Van Seggern, age 79, of E1096 Hwy. BB, Denmark, was called to his Heavenly home on Monday, April 8, 2002 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2002 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, town of Gibson, with the Rev. Maurice L. Hoppe officiating, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Randall was born May 4, 1922 to the late Fred and Blanche Vander Kinter Van Seggern and has been a lifelong area resident. He married the former Lilah Bergelin June 22, 1943 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in the town of Gibson. Randall owned and operated a dairy farm in the town of Gibson for 32 years and retired from farming in 1978. He then owned and operated a farm machine repair shop and retired from that business in 2001. He enjoyed repairing machine equipment and helping people. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, town of Gibson.

Survivors include his wife: Lilah; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Ronald Van Seggern of Grand Junction, Colo.; Terry and Lynda Van Seggern, town of Gibson; three grandchildren: Cynthia (Logan) Lindemann, David Van Seggern and Brian Krahn. He is also survived by one sister and brother-in-law: Audrey and Alvin Stever of Manitowoc; a sister-in-law: Marcella Bergelin, town of Gibson; nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one brother: Errol Van Seggern and one brother-in-law: Harold Bergelin.

Relatives and friends may call after noon Thursday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, town of Gibson until the time of services at 2 p.m. There will be no Wednesday evening visitation. A memorial fund has been established in his name. The Lambert Funeral Home of Mishicot is assisting the Van Seggern family with funeral arrangements.
