Mary Jane Bartlow age 71 of Johnsburg passed away on Thursday December 24, 2015 at Centegra Hospital in McHenry.
Mary Jane was born in McHenry on August 22, 1944 the daughter of Lewis and Dorothy (Hausheer) Pitzen.
She was a long time member of St. John the Baptist church where she worked as a parish secretary for many years. She was a member of the BVM's and also on the Cemetery Committee. She loved to sing and was a former member of the choir at St. John the Baptist Church and the Sweet Adelines.
Mary Jane is survived by her daughter Suzann (William) O'Brian; her granddaughters Kaleigh and Madalyne O'Brian; her brother Lewis (Val) Pitzen and her sister Susan Pitzen.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Dorothy Pitzen.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 1, 2016 from 2pm to 4pm at Colonial Funeral Home & Crematory 591 Ridgeview Dr. McHenry IL 60050.
Visitation will continue on Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 9am to 10am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 2303 W. Church St., Johnsburg. Funeral Mass will begin at 10am. Burial will follow at St. John the Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the family.
