Donovan Neal Ahlden, 73, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015 at Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City, OK.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m.. Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Okarche, OK.
Interment will follow at the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery with Pastor David Ersland officiating. Services are conducted by Sanders Funeral Service of Kingfisher.
Donnie Ahlden was born Friday, June 26, 1942, in Okarche, OK, to John Henry and Mabel Duggan Ahlden of Okarche, Oklahoma. Donnie was raised in Okarche and attended the Okarche schools and graduated from Okarche High School in 1960.
Donnie Ahlden married Sue Daves on Thursday, Jan. 21, 1965 at Guthrie, OK. They had one child, Warren, whom they adored.
Donnie was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Okarche, OK. He was a huge supporter of the 4-H and Okarche FFA programs.
He was a former Kingfisher County Fair Board member. Donnie was a true gentleman who loved his family, hunting pheasants, his friends and neighbors. He will always be remembered for his great smile and willingness to help anyone in need.
He is survived by his son, Warren Ahlden, Okarche, OK; one brother Richard Ahlden, Kingfisher, OK, and mother-in-law Nadene Daves of Guthrie, OK. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Mabel, and brother Larry, and wife Sue Ahlden.
