Julius Blashka Dies at Maribel Farm Home

DENMARK, Wis. – Julius Blashka, 66, retired farmer who lived all his life on the homestead at Maribel, route 1, died at his home here Friday night after a paralytic stroke.

Funeral services will be held at 9 o’clock Tuesday morning at All-Stains church, conducted by the Rev. John Gehl, with burial in the Green Street cemetery of St. Wenzel church, Manitowoc county. The body is at the Wochus Funeral home and will lie in state there beginning Sunday evening, with the rosary to be recited at 8 o’clock Sunday and Monday nights.

He was born Jan. 6, 1875, on the family homestead where he died Friday night. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Leo Blashka, 89; a sister; and six brothers, Albert and William, Manitowoc; Nick, English Lake; and Joseph, Thomas, and Peter, at Denmark.
