COOPERSTOWN PIONEER DIES AT HOMESTEAD
Frank Frelich, a pioneer town of Cooperstown resident who made his home on the same farm for the past 59 years, died at the family home yesterday after a lingering illness, the past six weeks of which resulted in his being confined to his bed.
Mr. Frelich, well known through-out the county, was 71 years of age and was born in Bohemia on January 26, 1858. As a boy of 12, Mr. Frelich came to the township of Cooperstown with his parents and has lived on the family farm continuously since that time. He assumed management of the farm following his marriage and the death of his parents and until illness forced his retirement was active in its direction.
Besides his widow, he is survived by four sons, Anthony of Harlowton, Montana, Frank of Cedar Rapids, Iowa , Adolph and Joseph of Maribel; four daughters, Mrs. Frank Freimuth, Mrs. Wencel Chvala of Maribel and Misses Anna and Rose Frelich, Manitowoc. He is also survived by a brother and a sister and 14 grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held from the family home prior to the church services to be held at the St. Wenceslaus church at Greenstreet at 10 o'clock Monday morning with Rev. Rous officiating. Interment will take place at the church cemetery.
