(1894 - 1908)
Notes From Greenstreet:
On Saturday morning the Angel of Death called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Kubs and took from their tender care their loving daughter Mayme, aged fourteen years.
Like a flower plucked in its bloom, was this life that was fast budding into handsome and promising womanhood. Early in the spring she was stricken with inflammatory rheumatism which gradually developed into dropsy and after a long and painful suffering, death came to her relief. Mayme was an amiable child of a quiet disposition and her loss will be keenly felt by her parents, brothers and sister, also by her schoolmates with whom she was a favorite.
Her parents, five brothers and one sister survive to mourn her death.
She was laid at rest on Monday morning here at St. Wencel's Catholic cemetery, Rev. Cipin performing the last sad rites.
The bereaved family have the sympathy of their many friends and neighbors.
To the regions of life and light,
To the land of the good,
whose earthly toils are o'er
No sorrow no pain thy vernal beauty blight
And fertile shore, to yield thee, blessed fruits forever more.
