DEATH CLAIMS MRS. S. BENNER

95-Year Old native of Gettysburg, Expires in Herndon, Virginia

Mrs. Sophia (Yount) Benner, 95, native of Gettysburg and widow of Major H.S. Benner former postmaster and merchant here died at the home of a niece and nephews children of her late brother-in-law, Ephriam Benner, Virginia, Sunday morning at 11:30 o'clock of infirmities.

Mrs. Benner was born in Gettysburg a daughter of the late Israel and Mary Yount, and spent the greater part of her life here. About 15 years ago, she moved to Herndon.

Surviving are one sister, Miss Emma Stump, of Florida and a number of nieces and nephews, including Mrs. William A. Hennig, York Street.

Mrs. Benner was a life-long member of the Presbyterian church.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the graveside in Evergreen cemetery, the Rev. D.W. Woods, of Gettysburg, officiating.
