On February 20, 1872 he was married at Taylor to Miss Ellen Fenny. She died on February 20, 1885. He is survived by two sons,

1. Theodore S. Overby (1876-1943) of Finley, North Dakota and

2. Olaf Overby (1884-1955) of Taylor.
