A resident of the Parkland area since 1929, Ella was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the PLU Q-Club, the PLU Heritage Club and various other organizations at PLU and the community. She taught at Franklin Pierce and Clover Park High Schools. Ella directed choirs at Luther Memorial and Trinity Lutheran Churches as well as extensive soloist work. Ella attended Waldorf College and graduated from St. Olaf College in 1926.
